No — you can book directly. Some private insurance plans may require a physician’s note for reimbursement, so it’s worth checking the details of your plan.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like to work on, and how therapy can best support you moving forward.
While in person sessions allow for the opportunity to connect through both verbal and nonverbal cues, secure and confidential online appointments are available for clients who prefer the comfort, privacy, and flexibility of meeting from home.
Absolutely. What you share in sessions stays private, unless there are serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others.
Many private and employer health plans in Nova Scotia cover counselling services provided by an RCT-Candidate. Coverage varies by plan, so check with your provider for details — receipts are provided for reimbursement.
Sessions run for about 50 minutes. The frequency of appointments is based on individual needs — we’ll decide together based on your goals.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, as this time is set aside just for you. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
Absolutely — I am available for speaking engagements and consultation services, as well as partnerships that offer psychological assessment reviews.
